Clarity regarding unjustifiable acts
(abuse, corruption…)

Clarity regarding unjustifiable acts (6%)

1.Clarity regarding what is contrary to Jesus and being unequivocal in her rejection of those acts, whether they pass inside or outside herself

2. Sexual abuse and corruption unacceptable. Also its cover-up. New slavery, misinformation, manipulation and lies

3. Women’s secondary role, unsustainable. For being inconsistent with Jesus

4. The Church must face her mistakes with courage and transparency instead of trying to silence or hide them

5. And believers should not be discriminatory, because this also is unacceptable

Participant’s voice

“The Church must be clear. There is a lot of confusion in the world, created by the media and people with bad intentions. It is urgent that the Church be clear in defending Jesus Christ and his teachings.” “Speak clearly about difficult topics”

“More unanimity in messages given by priests”

“Include women as equals to men. To be more egalitarian, in this questionnaire they say I AM A MAN, A WOMAN… there are more definitions of I am”

That all those who have attempted or covered up child abuse be removed. It is unacceptable that they continue to protect them”

The Magisterium, the Gospel

The Magisterium

“The Church began slowly its zero tolerance against child abuses, and it has moved forward. . In this sense, I believe that the direction taken is irreversible. Today it is a subject that cannot be discussed ”

“Although 46% of the abuses take place within the family – this is terrible. But it doesn’t justify anything. Even if (in the Church) there was only one case, it would be embarrassing. And we have to fight for only one case. (…) It is not tolerable, because (the abuse) kills the person we have to save. I, as a priest, must help raise and save these people.”

Interview to Pope Francis by Phil Pullella, Reuters, July 7, 2022

The Gospel

“Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat, so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear,1 and lay them on people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by others.; (…)”

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and the plate, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and the plate, that the outside also may be clean.”

Mateo 23, 2-29

How to move forward?

Theological level

Transparency is demanded of the Church to courageously face the problems that have occurred within it (pedophile, corruption, misogyny).

The Church must resolutely defend the dignity and freedom of all and openly and clearly oppose all attempts to manipulate, enslave or ignore people.

Moral-behavioral level

Christians must bear witness to their faith, their love and their respect for each other’s moral conscience. No excuse can be made to exercise the abuse of power over consciences

Structural-organizational level

The Church must always be prepared to face situations of internal crisis with communicative transparency, avoiding hiding scandals or diverting attention from other issues.

Pastoral-pedagogical level

The faithful must show what we do (lead by example), rather than tell others what they have to do. And that possible disagreements about the different beliefs do not prevent the understanding and love that is due to all people.
